About

Many child welfare professionals across the state have received inconsistent information about the efficacy and safety of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for pregnant and parenting individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Led by Dr. James Walsh, a specialist in addiction medicine and family medicine obstetrics, this webinar will provide up-to-date information about current MAT medications and discuss the benefits of MAT for those who are pregnant or parenting and their children.

Objectives

As a result of participating in this event, learners will be able to:

  • Describe at least 2 medications used in MAT by pregnant and parenting people with OUD
  • Describe at least 2 reasons why MAT benefits pregnant and parenting people with OUD

Who Should Attend

Physicians, medical assistants, social workers, and other clinical and behavioral health providers who serve pregnant or parenting individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.
