Many child welfare professionals across the state have received inconsistent information about the efficacy and safety of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for pregnant and parenting individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Led by Dr. James Walsh, a specialist in addiction medicine and family medicine obstetrics, this webinar will provide up-to-date information about current MAT medications and discuss the benefits of MAT for those who are pregnant or parenting and their children.
Objectives
As a result of participating in this event, learners will be able to:
- Describe at least 2 medications used in MAT by pregnant and parenting people with OUD
- Describe at least 2 reasons why MAT benefits pregnant and parenting people with OUD
