The Tribal Centric Behavioral Health Advisory Board was developed as a statewide board to oversee the implementation and operation of Tribally operated inpatient behavioral health facilities across Washington State. These facilities will offer needed behavioral health crisis care to all American Indians and Alaska Natives in Washington State. This will include a freestanding evaluation and treatment center, secure withdraw management and stabilization with potential for crisis stabilization, outpatient behavioral health and crisis services offering a wide variety of services including aftercare and out-patient treatment options for maximizing federal participation and ensure that utilization will be based on medical necessity and identify a specific geographic location where a tribal evaluation and treatment facility will be built.
The board will be made up of membership from each of the five regions that align with the Health Care Authority’s Office of Tribal Affairs Regional Service Areas (RSA).  The five regions are made up of the Tribes and Urban Indian Health Programs in each region:
North Sound Regional:  Nooksack Tribe, Lummi Nation, Samish Tribe, Upper Skagit Tribe, Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, Sauk Suiattle Tribe, Stillaguamish Tribe and Tulalip Tribes
Olympic and Pacific Coast Region: Region-Suquamish, Port Gamble S’Klallam, Jamestown S’Klallam, Lower Elwha Klallam, Makah Tribe, Quileute Nation, Hoh Tribe and Quinault Nation
South Sound Region:  Skokomish Tribe, Squaxin Island Tribes, Confederated Tribes of Chehalis, Nisqually Tribe, Shoalwater Bay Tribe and Cowlitz Tribes
Pierce/King County Region:  Puyallup Tribes, Muckleshoot Tribes, Cowlitz Tribes, Snoqualmie Tribes and Seattle Indian Health Board
Eastern Washington Region: Yakama Nation, Confederated Tribes of Colville, Spokane Tribe, Kalispel Tribe and The NATIVE Project
