The Department of Commerce is providing grants to help nonprofits recover from economic impacts of COVID-19. They have partnered with ArtsFund to deliver the funds. We are working to help promote the opportunity as this is a very short timeline and we want to support nonprofits in accessing these funds. The Nonprofit Community Recovery Grant application is due May 24. Grants range from $2,500 to $25,000 and may be used to cover expenses incurred between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
Organizations must meet all the following criteria:
- Have 501(c)(3) status, or fiscal sponsorship by a 501(c)(3), with appropriate documentation since FY2019
- Have a 2019 annual operating budget greater than $25,000
- Operate in one or more of the following four focus areas:
o Arts, culture, science, and heritage organizations
o Neighborhood Associations
o Sports and Recreation Organizations
o Veterans Organizations
