Health Care Authority to End Requirement of State Intrusion on Tribal Land
For years, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) administered federal funds awarded to tribal governments for performing certain services under agreements referred to as “Consolidated Contracting with Tribes” (aka 7.01 Plans). Under these agreements, DSHS had authority to enter tribal land to monitor the performance of the tribe.
